I highly recommend taking an "Uncover Romania" tour with tour-guide, Diana Condrea. I took the Bucharest city cultural tour and was very impressed. I'm glad I took a guided tour instead of venturing out myself. Diana shared many historical facts about the sites we visited, and also pointed out buildings and sites along the way and explained the importance of each. After 6 hours, Diana wanted to continue the tour and show me more of the city, however, my legs refused to walk any further. There were 3 taxi rides during the course of the tour to reach sites further away, but it is primarily a walking tour. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my planned half-day tour to Peles and Brasov due to a flight cancellation. Diana willingly&

This was a fantastic tour - the guide was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We would give this 10 stars if we could. We saw so much and learnt so much and at the end the guide even refused to take a tip. We felt more like we were being shown around by a friend or relative than by a paid guide. I would recommend this tour and this particular guide to anyone. We have had several experiences with Viator - all good but this one was truly exceptional.

I had a really good time with Diana from Uncover Romania, I wish I could have done more than one day tour and gotten a little bit of hiking in there as well, but she managed the time really well and was great company and obviously knew a lot about the history and significance of the places we were visiting. I would definitely recommend for solo travellers and small groups, I think it gives a nicer experience in comparison to mass group tours. :)
