Brilliant tour of Saxon towns of Transylvania

For any foreigners to Romania, Diana Condrea is the perfect guide. She speaks excellent English and has a deep knowledge of Romanian history, art and architecture. She was a fund of experience and advice about how to make the most of our 9-day tour of Transylvania and Bukovina. She is aware that many Western tourists prefer to stay in rural B&Bs rather than city hotels and that we wanted to see rural life as well as the main churches and towns. Her choice of places to stay and eat was an important part of this memorable holiday. She was flexible about adapting the programme to our budget. Superb two weeks in Romania

We had a wonderful trip overall in Romania. The two guided tours we took with Diana were fantastic. Our visit of Bucharest was the perfect way to discover the city and its historical and cultural places. The experience let us see the city and its past through the eyes of a local. We also visited the Rupea Tower and the city of Brasov a few days later. We were charmed by the beauty of Transylvania and its rich history. Throughout the two tours, our guide made us feel at ease by listenning to our needs and by giving us precious advices.

Bucharest City Tour

Diana customized a wonderful day trip in Bucharest. Although the weather turned sour, (cold rainy day) we thoroughly enjoyed the informative and entertaining commentaries of the Cemetery, Churches, Old Town, and Ceaușescu's home. Lunch at Hanú Lui Manuc was great. Traffic in Bucharest is crazy, but Diana's management and utilization of a variety of modes of transportation saved time and was very convenient. We definitely recommend Uncover Romania for a local insight into the country.

The very best way to discover Bucharest

With only one full day to spend discovering the city of Bucharest, I booked a private tour. I thought that an all-day (7 hours) tour might be too much...................but quite the opposite. My guide for the day was Diana Condrea, and I could not have wished for a more knowledgeable guide. Her knowledge of the city, and its history and culture is staggering encyclopedic, but delivered in a way that is manageable for anyone, regardless of what you already know. From the history of the nation, architecture, the impact of Communism and life during that period. I really cannot recommend Diana any more highly.

Excellent

I took history tour. It was private tour that lasted seven hours. We walk around the city's interesting places, buildings, churches including visit to Parlament house. Learned a lot about the communist era and its dictator. Very informative, I learned a lot about Bucharest history and Romanian history and traditions.

The Real Deal

Diana Condera is the real deal. There are not enough positive superlatives in the English language to describe her. Diana has found that balance between being informative with just the right amount of data delivered at a pace that provides and opportunity to absorb the data yet not overwhelming. Diana is a very learned and proud Romanian who genuinely wants the world to have an open appreciation for her country. Her background is from a political science (not political) perspective which we thoroughly enjoyed. Diana was punctual and professional yet totally warm and charming during our entire day together. The greatest time in Romania

We had the greatest time with you in Romania. I had no idea when you said that you offered a unique experience, just how unique it would be. Romania is a beautiful country with friendly people, an extremely interesting history and many things to see and do. And it is a safe country. We especially enjoyed our visits to the smaller cities of Brasov and Sighisoara but also the castles and fortresses. You were a walking encyclopedia and shared so much knowledge with us. My favourite part of the holiday was Copse Mare. It changed my life and has given me so many wonderful memories that I have shared with family and friends Aside from the very personal journey,the trip itself was exceptional.

Amazing tour

I had a great time with Diana as my guide. She was knowledgeable, passionate and very kind. She gave me a locals perspective of Bucharest-past and present. The best part about a private tour is she was open to all questions and she knows the city very well to point out what to see in the evening and other days you are in town. Full-Day Historical Bucharest Private Walking Tour

What a great tour, we were met at 08:30 at our Hotel by Diana for our Full-Day Historical Bucharest Private Walking Tour . We were then driven to the Parliament Building for the start of our tour. I won't go through all the places we visited, but she took us to loads of varied and interesting places in the centre of Bucharest. We loved the tour, but would recommend you wear trainers as you could well end up with sore feet. We stopped off for lunch in a restaurant in the site of an old inn, here you could have traditional Romanian fare or have something more western. Our day we were lucky to have 30 degree temperature, but Diana showed no sign of flagging as we visited Churches, Theatres Old Forts, buildings changed into Government Of

One Day Medieval Tour

I cannot begin to express how absolutely marvelous this tour was!! I'm in Bucharest for six weeks on my own, and first of all, when I contacted Diana, she gave me the best price for a solo tour of any company I contacted, by far! She picked me up from my rented apartment promptly at the agreed upon time, and we were off. All I can really say is that I had a wonderful day. Diana is so nice and personable, very easy to talk to and get along with. At each of the sites we saw (I did the Medieval tour to Curtea de Arges, Poenari Fortress, and Targoviste), I was amazed at the knowledge she shared. She doesn't use books or references or anything; it's all in her head- and I suspect quite a bit more than she had time to share with me
